The spectrum ranges from asymptomatic or intermittent claudication to necrosis and limb loss. A sudden decrease in limb perfusion that threatens limb viability defines acute limb ischemia (ALI) and represents a major vascular emergency. The clinical presentation is considered to be acute if it occurs within 14 days after symptom onset [ 2, 3 ]. To pass the examination a Candidate must achieve all of the following: 1. a total score of at least 168 out of the maximum possible 224; 2. pass at least two of the three open technical assessments, and two of the three endovascular sections; 3. to pass at least 4 of the 5 sections.
